The Felling of the Dying Tree

The felled tree with our house in the background. If a storm had blown it into the house, there would have been a considerable amount of damage. At left, you can see the stump, with its clearly defined undercut and hinge. It was wonderful to bring the tree down parallel to the house, exactly where I wanted it to fall.
